Fundraising is consistently the hardest part of operating a not for profit like Sweet Water, but regular people like you can lend a hand in a meaningful way just by making Sweet Water the recipient of a Facebook Fundraiser that asks friends and family to consider supporting our efforts. It's a great idea anytime, for instance The National Day of Giving/Giving Tuesday, any holiday that strikes your fancy or tax time, though many people use their birthday to launch a fundraiser.

It's easy for you and only takes a few minutes to set up. The best part is that all funds raised go directly to the rescue (with no fees - Way to go FB!)  to help support the care and feeding of our residents and ensure we can continue our ongoing work to help the animals with nowhere else to go.

Start with a realistic fundraising goal to kick things off and you can even offer to match the first donation to get the ball rolling.

Sponsor an Animal,
Change a Life

When you sponsor a sanctuary animal at Sweet Water, you can make a real difference for one of these special creatures by helping to provide nutritious food, bedding, medical care and shelter. You’ll also have a friend for life and become a part of a special family.

The costs for daily care and maintenance consume a large part of the our budget. Your sponsorship helps with those expenses and allows us to provide our residents with the loving care they deserve.

Check out some of our wonderful sanctuary animals. You're certain to find someone who will steal your heart.

Sponsorships also make great gifts for your loved ones.

Volunteer

We are in need of volunteers on a regular basis to assist with feeding, animal care, cleaning, administrative tasks and facility maintenance. We also have several projects and repairs that we are in need of able-bodied volunteers with some handyman, roofing, fencing or landscaping experience. We are also in the process of organizing some scheduled group project days. We welcome groups of up to 8 people on these days to assist with projects like painting, landscaping, fence repair, construction projects, etc.

Please text Rosie at (352) 359-5430 to set up a time to discuss your availability and specific interest.
